Description:
JOB SUMMARY: Diagnose and accurately repair engines and equipment as assigned, in accordance with published service directives. TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school education or equivalency, in addition to one of the following: two years technical training and two years experience, or three year apprenticeship, or four to five years of hands-on experience. TASK AREAS and JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: PERFORM SERVICE and REPAIRS - Respond to customers courteously and professionally. - Involve the Assistant Service Manager to assist in answering customer’s questions when necessary. - Coordinate with Assistant Service Manager to correct customer demands or complaints in a timely and responsive manner. - Achieve and maintain technical competency and currency - Advise Assistant Service Manager of required parts. - Perform professional quality shop or field service repairs consistent with company standards. - Maintain a safe work area by keeping it clean and orderly. - Maintain adequate personal tooling to perform assigned tasks. DOCUMENTATION - Write detailed descriptions of all repair operations completed on repair order hard copies and job tickets. Write legibly. Must be understood by associates processing the repair order. - Enter time in BMS each time work is started and stopped on a specific repair. COMPANY REPRESENTATION - Continually strive to achieve the highest level of credibility and integrity with dealers, customers, and fellow employees. - Communication on the company’s behalf should be consistent with sound business practices and should never jeopardize or compromise the company’s position. - Confidential information should not be distributed outside the department without management approval. - Maintain proper dress code and appearance, consistent with surroundings and customer acceptance. - Develop high levels of inter-departmental support, being sensitive to the needs of other departments within the company.
